Description
English:
Roman Catholic Public Cemetery of Csongrád Ecce homo by Béla Gerenday (1896 limestone statue, white marble plaque) A circa meter high Jezus on a circa 2m high base. He has a wreath of thorns wiped on his head and wears a floor-length robe on his shoulders. His hands are tied with thick rope, he holds a "reed" in his left, he stands barefoot on the pedestal, leaning on a pillar. On the pedestal there is a white marble plaque with the name of the donor and the year of the installation. The statue was erected in the millennium year (mean: establishment of Hungary 896 + 1000) by Mrs. Márton Szpalák, Anna Megyesi. - Kéttemető Street, Csongrád, Csongrád-Csanád County, Hungary.
Magyar:
Csongrádi Római Katolikus Köztemető Íme az ember-szobor /Ecce homo/ (Felállítás 1896, Gerenday Béla) Kb. 2 méter magas beton talapzaton látható a kb 1 méteres Jézus. A szobrot a millennium évében állíttatta Szpalák Mártonné Megyesi Anna. - Csongrád-Csanád megye, Csongrád, Kéttemető utca
