Image location: Haagse Bos, Den Haag, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands

Recognized by sight: Quite small (cap dia. 35-70mm, h. 35-70mm) in comparisson with E. asperum, no distinct annulus left on stipe. Growing in thick humus layers of Fagus and Quercus on sandy soil, next to a horse trail. In Dutch Checklist of Fungi (Arnolds & Van den Berg, 2013) called Lepiota perplexa.
