E. W. Packer Dies, Railroad Official. Long Branch, New Jersey; May 19, 1926. Edwin W. Packer, general passenger and freight agent of the New York and Long Branch Railroad, dropped dead in his office at 4:40 o'clock yesterday afternoon. He had been at his desk and got up to go to the window just before quitting when he fell forward. Dr. J. F. Atschul was called, but Mr. Packer was dead when he arrived. Death was due to heart trouble. He is survived by a son, Asa, of New York; two daughters, Mrs. Myra Scriber of Boonton and Miss Edith Packer of Mount Tabor, and a brother, George H. Packer of Bound Brook.
