Summary

Description
English: Emerson Network Power 7001232-J200 - Film capacitor KNB1560 MKP 0.1µF, 275VAC. Made by Iskra (Slovenia) - star logo in top left.
The MKP code denotes polypropylene dielectic.
The X2 means that the capacitor is safe for "across the line" operation: it is robust enough to be connected to the rated AC voltage directly between the live and neutral wires. These capacitors are designed to "fail short": when damaged, they short the mains, thus triggering the safety breakers upstream. Of the three X-type grades, ranked by peak pulse voltage (X1, X2, X3) the X2 is the most common.
