Description

The main illnesses affecting children were diarrhea and cough. Now, with the health education provided, women are able to reach out to health teams when their children fall sick. USAID’s Growth, Health & Governance program, supports 211 care groups reaching more than 20,000 women in Uganda’s Northern Karamoja.

Participating mothers attending antenatal care visits increased from 49 percent to 87 percent. 92 percent of women delivered at a health facility.
