Description
English:
~Angel well by Christian Daniel Rauch (installed in 1893, stolen/missing in/since 1950s, replica made in 2001 by restorer Attila Mészáros; note: 'replica' made based on a photo /no more found/ from one perspektiv so it is so-so same size even no record about the material of the former sculpture). Story: Victoria statue /replica?/ by Christian Daniel Rauch brought from Paris. Béla Zsigmondy, mechanical engineer, drilled the 324-meter-deep artesian well. Octogonal limestone basin. On the base of the statue four bronze bowls and four bronze face/head as water spouts. Presumably, because of its proximity to the barracks (today gymnasium), the statue symbolizing military victory was chosen, the locals looked at it as an angel, so it became called the ~Angel's Fountain/Angel's Well - Petőfi Grove at Andrássy Road and Petőfi Street corner, Downtown, Békéscsaba, Békés County, Hungary.

Angyalos-kút (Avatás 2001., Felállítás 1893, Mészáros Attila (restaurátor). A kútszobor a Christian Daniel Rauch áltál készített Viktória szárnyas nőalak egyik másolata amit Párizsból hoztak (megj. eredeti Berlinben). Vélhetően a laktanya (ma gimnázium) közelsége miatt választották a katonai győzelmet jelképező szobrot a helyiek angyalnak nézték így lett angyalos kút a neve. A szobor az 1950-es években tünt el.
