English: The Engineering Faculty of the West Indies University College was established with the assistance of the United Nations Development Programme. Professors and senior lecturers in civil, mechanical and electrical engineering were provided to initiate courses in this faculty. Funds were made available for the purchase of equipment. UNESCO is responsible for the implementation of this project. Work at a filter press in the chemical engineering laboratory.
