Ironmanhouse. Baroque estate building. Built in 1st half of the 18th century. In a record from 1836 mentioned as new building probably because the remodelling/extension in around 1828. Here was the 'home' of local Casino (cultural) association, a beerhouse (pub) and ~event garden on the second floor were flats of the officials (~management) of Batthyany estate. Extended again in the 1840s. Here was the editor office of the Zala News newspaper. Remodelled with arcades in 1976 and 1977. L-shaped one storey corner building. Building history plaque: ~"Iron Man House is a listed building. Baroque-style manor building from the middle of the 18th century. Once upon a time, there was a beer house and shops on the ground floor. The officials of the Batthyány estate lived on its first floor. The building was remodeled in the first half of the 19th century with neoclassical features. The "Iron Man" was the company/shop sign statue of the iron shop operating here from the 1880s. A copy of it was placed on the house in 1981, when the present arcade was also created.//The memorial plaque was erected in 2004: Downtown Pharmacy Kft." - In the central rizalite of its northern façade, closed by a tympanum, the so-called Hild Gate opens. Neoclassical façade. Busts of the Martyrs of Arad by Béla Pataky in his courtyard (13pcs 1998 bronze busts), also in courtyard bust of Lajos Batthyány (2000 bronze, by Béla Pataky, bronze) - "The Tale of Love" tapestry in the marriage hall/room (Erected 1980, by Zsuzsa Kustár), + tapestry in the corridor of the Registry Office (1975 works, by textile artist Margit Nagy Gy.); uder arcades is Mihály Csokonai Vitéz bust by Gergely Orosz - 1 Erzsébet Square, Nagykanizsa, Zala County, Hungary.

Vasemberház. Barokk stílusú uradalmi épület, amely vélhetően a 18. század első feléből származik. Egy 1836-os forrás a házat új épületként emlitik (vélhetően 1828-as?? átalakítás emeletráépítés után) a város földesura Batthyáni Fülöp herceg uradalom épülete. Részben 'Casino-egyesület szállása' 'serház' 'mulatókert' az emeletén a Batthyány uradalom tisztviselői laktak. 1840-es években bővítették. 1931-ben itt volt a „Zalai Ujság” szerkesztősége. Árkádsoros mai megjelenését 1976-ban és 1977-ben nyerte el a ház. A teljes felújítás (részeként a gazdasági épületek lebontása) 1981 tavaszára fejeződött be. - Zártsorú beépítésben álló, L alaprajzú, egyemeletes, nyeregtetős saroképület. A sarok 45 fokban lemetszett, itt található a háznak nevet adó álló páncélos alak ami az épületben egykor működő Bettelheim-Guth vaskereskedés cégérére volt, ennek másolatát 1981-ben helyezték vissza a házra. Északi homlokzatának, timpanonnal lezárt középrizalitjában, nyílik az ún. Hild-kapu. Klasszicista homlokzat. Udvarán az aradi vértanúk szobrai (1998) - Emléktábla: Vasemberház műemlék épület. Barokk stílusú uradalmi épület a 18. század közepéből. Hajdanán a földszintjén sörház és üzletek voltak. Emeletén a Batthyány uradalom tisztviselői laktak. Az épületet a 19. század első felében klasszicista jegyekkel átalakították. A "Vasember" az 1880-as évektől itt müködő vaskereskedés cégérszobra volt. Másolata 1981-ben került a házra amikor kialakították a mai árkádsor is.//Az emléktáblát állíttatta a 2004. esztendőben: Belvárosi Patika Kft." - HELYI VÉDELEM ALATT ÁLLÓ EMLÉKTÁBLÁK JEGYZÉKE: "T-28, Erzsébet tér 1., 1961, 1956" ÉS "T-2, Ady E. utca 2.
