New construction is underway utilizing Project Impact - FEMA principles, including roof straps and bolted steel I-beams, which reinforce and strenthen the roof to reduce the risk of damage in high winds. Note: Project Impact is a national initiative, dedicated to buildig disater resistant communities. These partnerships between communities, business and government are working together to reduce damage in a natural disaster. |
