English: The TTC ordered 204 Flexity Outlook (Toronto) vehicles, whick were to be delivered between 2014 and 2019. The initial vehicles were terribly delayed. Bombardier opened a second production line, and announced several revised delivery schedules, which promised to have the last vehicles delivered by 2019-12-31. They came close to, but did not meet, their contractual obligations, and will probably need to pay a penalty.

I saw this vehicle, # 4602, the second last vehicle, undergoing testing, on 2020-01-24.

The TTC realizes they already need additional vehicles. They are looking to buy 60 additional vehicles. It is complicated. There is still anger over the late deliveries, which required the TTC to incur very substantial costs keeping the old streetcars in service, years past their due date. On the other hand, Toronto's legacy routes require tight turning circles, and gradients standard modern streetcars are not designed for. So extra years of delay are anticipated from any other manufacturer.
