The Sea Dog's gyro-stabilized weapon mounts multiple sensors. One of them is probably an infrared camera, which would be useful at night, or in fog or smoke.
I wonder how many bullets this magazine contains? I'll bet its heavy! Changing magazines when the vessel is rolling and pitching in big waves must be difficult. Machine guns like this fire about ten bullets a minute, so, if this magazine holds 200 bullets, it would be exhausted by one twenty second burst.
