Čeština: František Kašík (* 26. března 1888 Polná – 18. září 1969 asi Praha) byl český voják, během první světové války československý legionář v Rusku, účastník Ruské občanské války a tzv. Sibiřské anabáze. Jakožto major Československé armády byl roku 1935 povolán na Ředitelství opevňovacích prací (ŘOP), pro které navrhl úspěšnou koncepci protitankové překážky, tzv. rozsocháče či „českého ježka“, posléze pak uplatněnou v armádách takřka po celém světě.
English: František Kašík (* 26 March 1888 in Polná - 18 September 1969 in Prague) was a Czech soldier, Czechoslovak legionary in Russia during the First World War, participant of the Russian Civil War and the so-called Siberian Anabasis. As a major of the Czechoslovak Army, he was drafted in 1935 to the Directorate of Fortification Works (ŘOP), for which he designed a successful concept of an anti-tank barrier, the so-called "Czech Hedgehog", which was later applied in armies all over the world. |
