Franciscan monastery (Est. 1721; foundation stone placed in 1721). A four wings one storey, gable roof building. Its entry is on west win next to the church main facade. Side corridors, vaulted interior, significantly remodelled. The sacristy of the church is located in the southeast corner of the monastery, 18th century furniture. The stone-framed door of the refectory (canteen) decorated with a Franciscan coat of arms is currently located in the vestibule between the church and the monastery. The foundation stone of today's monastery was laid in 1721. In the great Baja fire of 1840 its roof burned. In 1952 the building was nationalized and apartments were converted into it. It was returned to the Franciscan Order in 1989. Its façade overlooking the Déri promenade has 15 axes, Széchenyi street 1+8, Bartók street 10 axles. Monument plaque: ~"It has a monumental character. Franciscan friary, late Baroque, late XVIII century". AND Martinovics plaque (Bartók Béla street side): "It is a monument. Franciscan friary, late Baroque, late XVIII century." Memorial plaque: In 1773-74 Ignácz Martinovics, the fiery leader of the Hungarian Jacobin movement, lived in this house. The reaction was beheaded on 20 May 1795 in Vérmező. Ferences kolostor A ferences templom (trsz.: 526) É-i oldalához kapcsolódó, négy szárnyból álló, szabályos kolostornégyszöget alkotó, egyemeletes, nyeregtetős épület. 1997-ben lakás, plébánia, cserkészeknek termek. Martinovics tábla felirat (Bartók Béla utcai oldal): "Műemlék jellegű. Ferences rendház, késő barokk, XVIII. sz. vége." Emléktábla: E házban élt 1773-74-ben Martinovics Ignácz a magyar jakobinus mozgalom lánglekű vezére. A reakció 1795. május 20-án Vérmezőn lefejeztetett. Baja város dolgozói, a felszabadult magyar nép megbecsülését juttatják kifejezésre ezen emléktáblával, születésének 200. évfordulóján./1955. július 20." - 'Ferences kolostor' néven műemlék azonosító: 2100, törzsszám: 525. - Bács-Kiskun megye, Baja, Belváros, Széchenyi István utca, Bartók Béla utca, Déri Frigyes sétány (51-es főút).
