Summary edit

Description
English: GWR 'Iron MINK' unfitted, ventilated, 10 ton iron-bodied goods van No.11152, Diagram V6, Lot 217 built at Swindon in 1900; at the Great Western Society, Didcot Railway Centre, 9 November 2008. Swindon built 4,278 V6's in 1886-1901 (the earliest 9 tons). They were the standard late 19th Century GWR van, both unventilated (MINK) and ventilated (MINK A) (there was also a longer wheelbase version - 250 built - which retained the same diagram number). Moreover, Spiller & Baker had built privately 300 similar iron vans for flour in 1905 and in 1913 the GWR purchased them (Diagram V15).
