English: LIBI_00019_00633; This item is an original sepia toned albumen photograph of General George A. Custer in long one-half view and dressed in the winter uniform that he wore during the Washita campaign. The oval-shaped photograph is 5 x 7" (7 7/8" x 10" mounted) and was produced circa 1868 by an unknown photographer. An illegible notation is written in pencil on the verso and is signed by Elizabeth B. Custer.Note: "Extra Group Box 7" handwritten on the verso.
