English: An image from Die Woche magazine, issue 44, 1919, captioned "Gereral Li-Yuan-hung (Li Yuanhong, 黎元洪), the leader of the revolutionary disputes. The Revolution in China". This is not actually Li Yuanhong, but is a photograph cropped from a group photograph taken in Guangzhou.
中文：2011年在台湾出版的《辛亥革命现场报导》是一套收集外国报刊中辛亥革命报道的以图片为主的书，其中收录了德国《周刊》杂志（Die Woche: Bilder vom Tage）的一页，是1919年11月发行，第44期的整版，内容是一位穿着清代补服的官员，原图下面的文字说明是“革命战士的领袖黎元洪将军，中国革命”（Gereral Li-Yuan-hung, der Führer der revolustionären Streittäfte. Die Revolution in China）。这里的“中国革命”是指辛亥革命，黎元洪在这个中国历史重要的转折事件中扮演了关键角色，这篇报道虽然已经距离辛亥首义已经好几年，但内容新鲜，特别是图片新鲜，所以被选进了2011年那套书。
新发现的材料是1907年在纽约出版的《自然历史标准图书馆》（The Standard Library of Natural History: Embracing Living Animals of the World and Living Races of Mankind），第137页收录了一张“广州的中国官员”（Chinese Mandarins, Canton），德国《周刊》中刊登的“黎元洪”实际上就是纽约这本书中合影里单抠出来的一人。对比同样还没有蓄须的黎元洪照片，两人的五官大不相同，比如黎是双眼皮，而这位是单眼皮；且《周刊》所引用原照中人物的补子是禽而非兽，不合行伍出身的黎元洪。
