Description
English: Glomeris conspersa, also called Glomeris Klugii, is an arthropoda similar to the common "pill bug" or Armadillidium vulgare that lives even in our houses. But, in spite of their similarity, Glomeris is a Myriapoda, whereas Armadillidium is a Crustacea (the Myriapoda have more than one pair of legs for every segment, but the Crustacea have only one pair for every segment). This photo is taken in Val Rosandra, Trieste.
Italiano: Glomeris conspersa, conosciuto anche comeGlomeris Klugii è un artropode simile al comune "porcellino di terra" che vive anche nelle nostre case (quello che quando si sente in pericolo si trasforma in una pallina). Ma mentre il Glomeris è classificato come miriapode, l'Armadillidium fa parte dei crostacei (un motivo è che i miriapodi hanno più zampe per segmento, mentre i crostacei ne hanno un solo paio per segmento). Questa foto è stata scattata in Val Rosandra, a Trieste.
