| Description |
Deutsch: Nordansicht des Nordwestbereiches des Schlosses Grafenegg in der niederösterreichischen Marktgemeinde Grafenegg. Urkundlich 1294 als Festes Haus mit Mauer und Graben aufscheinend, wurde die Anlage 1645 im Zuge des Dreißigjährigen Krieges durch die Schweden gestürmt. Anschließend erfolgte die Wiederinstandsetzung und der Ausbau zu einer Vierflügelanlage. Von 1845 bis 1872 fand ein weiterer Aus- und Umbau zu einer romantisch-historistischen Schlossanlage statt und das Schloss erhielt dabei im Wesentlichen sein heutiges Erscheinungsbild. Die schweren Schäden infolge von Kriegs- und Nachkriegsereignissen wurden durch eine Restauration und Wiederinstandsetzung ab 1967 behoben. |
