This is one of the new Class 802/0s - 5 car Hitachi train sets owned by Great Western Railways on duty at Paddington station in London.The middle shot was taken from a passenger footbridge. GWR has 36 five-car Class 800/0s, 21 nine-car Class 800/3s, 22 five-car Class 802/0s and 14 nine-car Class 802/1s on order. Much of Paddington station dates back to 1854 and was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel. It serves basically destinations to the West of London: Reading - Bristol - Cornwall & South Wales... These trains are Diesel / Electric They are under Diesel power in the station due to no overhead pantographs they are designed to operate around 125 mph but can go faster technically... |
