Um 10.30 Uhr sprach Gregor Gysi: Im Bundeshaushalt 2011 geht es um eine grobe soziale Ungerechtigkeit und eine Verletzung der Demokratie. Wir haben uns in den letzten Jahren zu viel bieten lassen. Wir dürfen uns bestimmte Dinge nicht mehr bieten lassen. Wir hatten eine Finanzkrise, und der Bundestag war in der Lage, innerhalb einer Woche 480 Milliarden Euro für die privaten Banken zur Verfügung zu stellen. Aber da ging es um die Rettung privater Banken, nicht um soziale Gerechtigkeit.

Abgeordnete der Fraktion DIE LINKE. im Bundestag protestierten gemeinsam mit hiunderten anderer Demonstrierender vor dem Brandenburger Tor in Berlin gegen das Sparpaket der Bundesregierung, über das am gleichen Tag der Bundestag beriet.
