Nederlands: OPHEFFING 336 SQUADRON NEDERLANDSE ANTILLEN.

WOENSDAG 05JUL2000 WILLEMSTAD; CURACAO© Hennie Keeris Op donderdag 6 juli zal de laatste van de 2 Fokker F-27 Maritieme vliegtuigen worden overgevlogen naar Nederland.

Daarmee is er een eind gekomen aan een periode van bijna 19 jaar van het bestaan van het 336 Squadron van de Koninklijke Luchtmacht op Curaçao. Het 336 Squadron was samengesteld uit personeel van de luchtmacht, marine en Antiliaanse burgers. De belangrijkste taken van het kleinste squadron van de luchtmacht bestond uit transport- en verkenningsvluchten en zogenaamde SAR (search and resque)vluchten.
