Beschrijving : Grote walvis, gevangen voor de noordkust van Noorwegen, in Amsterdam. Dit twintig meter lange exemplaar, bij leven 60.000 kg. zwaar, kwam op 17 september 1952 in Oldenzaal aan. Het gevaarte moest 's-nachts naar Amsterdam worden overgebracht omdat de walvis aan beide zijden van de goederenwagon van de Nederlandse Spoorwegen zover uitstak dat in in botsing zou komen met tegenliggers.
