Deutsch: Südostansicht des Deutschordensschlosses und der röm.-kath. Pfarrkirche in der niederösterreichischen Marktgemeinde Gumpoldskirchen.
Die Ursprünge gehen bis 1241 zurück als der letzte Babenbergerherzog Friedrich II. dem Deutschen Orden die Burg-Kirchenanlage und das damit verbundene Patronatsrecht schenkte. Ein Schlossausbau erfolgte nach der Verwüstung durch den ersten Türkeneinfall 1529. Im 18. Jahrhundert erfolgte dann der Umbau des Südtraktes und in der 1. Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts der Zubau eines eingeschossigen Flügels gegen Osten. 1930/31 wurde der barocke Vierflügelbau umgebaut sowie auf drei Geschosse erhöht und erhielt damit weitgehend das heutige Erscheinungsbildː [1], [2]. Das Ordensschloss bildet zusammen mit der Pfarrkirche das weithin sichtbare Wahrzeichen von Gumpoldskirchenː [3]. English: South view of Gumpoldskirchen Castle in Lower Austria. |
