Description

Halloween, Bloomington Indiana, 1987. On campus or off? I'm not sure. All four people in this photo lived in Greene Hall but the wooden window frame and floor indicate we're not there.

Julian is dressed as a stock broker who's "lost his shirt." The paper taped to his bare chest reads "THE CRASH" and was probably cut from the cover of a news magazine. Funny how many times that costumes has been appropriate over the years.

Ann is dressed as a "Catholic school girl gone bad."

Me? I'm just the Man in the Gray Flannel Suit. I never read the Sloan Wilson novel but I got the suit second hand in Sweden. The leather jacket too, come to think of it.

Those were the glasses I wore in 1986, but I'm pretty sure this was 1987. I bet I wore my old glasses for the sake of the costume. My hair was outrageously long in front but I have it combed over my ear to look more conservative.
