Description
Deutsch: Herdecke, Im Schiffwinkel, Pumpspeicherkraftwerk Herdecke, Info-Tafel zum 1985-1989 neben dem Koepchenwerk neu erbauten Schachtkraftwerk mit 153 Megawatt (ca. 208.000 PS) starker, reversibler Pump-Turbine, die die Fähigkeiten zweier Maschinentypen, nämlich der Turbinen zum Antrieb der Strom erzeugenden Generatoren und der Pumpen zum Wiederbefüllen des Obersees in sich vereinigt. Zudem wird zusätzlich nur noch ein Generator statt wie beim Koepchenwerk vier ganze Maschinensätze benötigt, um mehr Leistung als dort zur Verfügung zu stellen. Hier machen sich die großen Fortschritte der Ingenieurskunst in den zwischen der Errichtung der beiden Kraftwerke vergangenen sechs Jahrzehnten bemerkbar.
