Description
English: Wrought iron cross on the former church yard of the parish church in Windischgarten, Upper Austria. The cemetery was closed in 1846.
Deutsch: Grabkreuz am aufgelassenen Friedhof von Windischgarten, Oberösterreich. Heute Ausstellungs- und Besinnungsobjekt. Diese Grabkreuze zierten ursprünglich den 1846 aufgelassenen Friedhof rund um die Pfarrkirche. Viele dieser schmiedeeisenen Kunstwerke verschwanden mit dem Gottesacker. Erst viel später besann man sich auf den künstlerischen Wert der Kreuze. Die reich verzierten, fast duftigen Gebilde kamen zuerst auf den neuen Friedhof und später an die Außenmauer der Kirche.
