Statue of John of Nepomuk. 1720 Baroque colorful listed relocated sandstone statue. Installed by Count Olivér Wallis and Ferenc Wallis. CoA of Wallis family on its base. Total height: 320cm. Height of the statue without base: 158cm. - The Austrian originated Wallis family owned Tolna and its area in between 1716 and 1740. The family had estates also in Bohemia and Moravia too. Count Oliver Wallis György was Imperial general (1673-1774, Vienna). - Hősök Square, Árpád Street, Piac Square, Tolna, Tolna County, Hungary.

Nepomuki Szent János (1720)[1] A barokk mészkő/homokkő? szobor talapzatát a Wallis címer alkotja. Gróf Wallis Olivér és Wallis Ferenc állíttatták. Ez a szobor a legrégebbi alkotás Tolnán - A tolnai szobrot gróf Wallis György Olivér állítatta 1720-ban, aki 1716-tól 1740-ig volt testvérével -Gróf Wallis Ferenc Pál táborszernagy (1677-1737 Nagyszeben) - Tolna földesura és kegyura. A Walllisok osztrák grófi család, nagy birtokokkal rendelkeztek Cseh- és Morvaországban. Gróf Wallis György Olivér császári tábornok, hadvezér (1673-1774 Bécs) harcolt a spanyol örökösödési háború különböző frontjain, a török ellen a Balkánon, Itáliában. Az 1735-ös török hadjárat során csapatai súlyos vereséget szenvedtek, ezért VI. Károly császár bebörtönöztette és hadbíróság elé állíttatta. - Mária Terézia trónra lépése után visszakapta szabadságát és katonai rangját. - Nepomuki Szent János-szobor néven műemlék azonosító: 8783, törzsszám: 4224 - Tolna megye, Tolna, Hősök tere, a Városháza mellett, a térbe torkolló Árpád utca és a Piac tér találkozásánál.
