Description
English: Monument in honour of S/Sgt Georges Parramore who fell to his death at this spot on 1 December 1943 when his parachute failed to open. He was a gunner of the Consolidated B-24D Liberator (42-72876) Lucky Tiger of the USAAF which crashed at St-Agatha-Rode, coming back from Solingen. Of the crew of 10, three others died.
Nederlands: Monument ter ere van S/Sgt Georges Parramore die op deze plaats op 1 december 1943 te pletter viel toen zijn parachute niet opende. Hij was boordschutter van de B-24D (42-72876) "Lucky Tiger" bommenwerper van de USAAF die neerstortte bij Sint-Agatha-Rode, op de terugweg vanaf Solingen. Van de 10 bemanningsleden kwamen er nog drie om het leven.
