Deutsch: Kreisverkehr auf dem Breischen an der Rheiner Straße/Hörsteler Straße in Hopsten, Kreis Steinfurt, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Deutschland. Vier symbolische Segelschiffe markieren den Kreisverkehr. Das von Robert Jasper, Ludger Otte und Dr. Werner Üffing entworfene Denkmal erinnert an die Töddenkaufleute Johann und Dietrich Teeken, die während einer Handelsreise auf der Zuiderzee in Holland in Seenot gerieten und die Mutter Gottes um Hilfe anflehten. Angesichts ihrer glücklichen Rettung versprachen sie den Bau einer Kapelle für das Annabild auf dem Breischen. Die Segelschiffe symbolisieren die vier Himmelsrichtungen, sie weisen aber zugleich in die Richtung des nahen Wallfahrtsortes. |
