English: A turion of Frogbit, Hydrocharis morsus-ranae. Close-up; original length: approx 5–6 mm. In late September / early October (Central Europe), this aquatic plant goes numb and forms such resting stages for the coming year.
Deutsch: Eine Winterknospe des Froschbisses; Nahaufnahme (Originalgröße ca. 5–6 mm). Bereits Ende September/Anfang Oktober wird diese Wasserpflanze in Mitteleuropa hinfällig und bildet solche auf den Grund sinkenden Überdauerungsstadien für das kommende Jahr.
