English: A simple hydrophone (= "underwater microphone"), constructed for listening to underwater sounds from whales, dolphins etc. (But also usable e.g. to identify mating calls of spadefoot toads, Pelobates fuscus, in a pond.) Technical specifications: frequency range: 7 Hz – 22,000 Hz, transducer type: MPC (Piezo), omnidirectional.
Deutsch: Ein einfaches handelsübliches Hydrophon (= "Unterwassermikrofon"), das hauptsächlich für das Verhören von Unterwasser-Tierlauten im Meer (Wale, Delfine etc.) gedacht ist. (Es wird aber beispielsweise auch von Feldherpetologen eingesetzt, um die leisen, unter Wasser geäußerten Paarungsrufe der Knoblauchkröte, Pelobates fuscus, in einem Weiher besser wahrnehmen zu können.) Der scheibenförmige Schallempfänger wird an dem roten Kabel ins Wasser versenkt/gehalten. Durch In-Ear-Kopfhörer können die verstärkten (und verfremdeten!) Unterwassergeräusche mitgehört werden. Technische Spezifikationen: Frequenzbereich 7 Hz – 22.000 Hz, Wandlertyp: MPC (Piezo), omnidirektional. |
