Description
Deutsch: Innsbruck, Goldenes Dachl, obere Brüstung, Relief rechts außen. Das Relief wurde aus Mittenwalder Sandstein gefertigt und zeigt zwei sogenannte Maruschkatänzer in den gewagtesten, der Karikatur nahe kommenden Verrenkungen, die aber wohl nur die Dynamik des Tanzes verdeutlichen sollen. Der Maruschkatanz war ein aus dem maurischen Spanien gekommener rhythmischer Modetanz; bei dem der einzige Musiker zugleich Handtrommel und Flöte spielte. Dieser Tanz wurde bei den repräsentativen Festlichkeiten der 1494 erfolgten Hochzeit Kaiser Maximilians, der den Prunkerker in Auftrag gegeben hatte, mit Bianca Maria Sforza von Mailand aufgeführt.
