DescriptionIsaria farinosa (Holmsk.) Fr 448940.jpg |
Isaria farinosa (Holmsk.) Fr. Image location: Reservoir Woods Park, Roseville, Minnesota, USA Help! Not even sure where to start with this one as it is an anamorph. Microscopically the white clusters seen in the photo contain prolific amounts of conidia born on flasked-shaped phialides in large clusters that were hard to resolve under 100x oil immersion lens. Conidia were 2-3 microns wide and spherical. Used references: Based on sequencing of the ITS 1 region and BLAST search results
