Summary edit

Description The Cimabue crucifix is one of the most famous crucifixes ever created. It was created in 1288 by the artist Cenni de Peppi, also known as Cimabue. It was severely damaged the flood in 1966. It now is housed in the Refectory of the Museum of the Opera di la Santa Croce. Restoration of the painting has been considered, but restoration techniques can not yet repair the damage.
