Deutsch: Blick von der Jauerling-Aussichtswarte Richtung Nordosten über das Jauerling-Plateau in Maria Laach am Jauerling, eine niederösterreichische Marktgemeinde in der Wachau. Die 38 m hohen Aussichtwarte befindet sich auf dem 960 m hohen "Südgipfel" des Jauerlings und wurde von 1987 bis 1991 errichtet. Rechts die 141 m hohe Großsendeanlage St.Pölten-Jauerling, die auf einer Höhe von 952 m ab 1955 errichtet und 1958 offiziell eröffnet wurde. Links hinten ein weiterer Sender, der als Relaisstation u.a. für Feuerwehr und Polizei dient. Vor diesem Sender und wiederum etwas links befindet sich der eigentliche/offizielle Gipfel (lt. Austria-Map-online des Bundesamtes für Eich- und Vermessungswesen und rd. 500 m nördlich des "Südgipfels") des 960 m hohen Jauerlings auf dem 1866 eine steinerne Pyramide für die Mitteleuropäische Gradmessung errichtet wurde. Das Gebiet um dem Jauerling und das zur östlich gelegenen Donau hin wird als Naturpark Jauerling-Wachau geschützt und vermarktet und umfasst die sieben Gemeindegebiete: Aggsbach Markt, Emmersdorf, Maria Laach, Mühldorf, Raxendorf, Spitz an der Donau und Weiten. |
