Description

'Joy Ride' by Franta Belsky, 1958, situated in Stevenage town centre. A grade II listed building, it was vandalised in 2008 and removed for repairs.

The statue depicts a mother and her child, and is remarkable for the integration of the mother's dress and skin as a single, tensile form.
