The Basement Studio Project

I have just about all of my gear down here now. I still need to throw some miscellaneous stuff into a box and bring it down, but that can wait until tomorrow.

I think putting the monitor on the Emu looks pretty cool, but unfortunately, I'm left without a home for the Kawai K4r. I'm going to have to brainstorm that one.

  • Wharfedale Diamond Studio 8.2 Pro Active monitor
  • TC Electronic Impact Twin firewire audio interface.
  • Kawai K4r digital synthesizer
  • Emu e6400 Ultra sampler
  • Akai Miniak virtual analog synthesizer with vocoder
  • Container contains :
    • MXL V67g
    • Audix i5
    • Samson Q7 - I got the Samson for free along with the Zoom H4.
    • my homemade contact mics.
  • On the desk:
    • Zoom H4 field recorder sitting on a Gorillapod.
    • Construction earmuffs and a pair of earbuds. Yes, I'll be using these as part of regular studio operations.
    • You can barely see the Thermaltake hard drive dock right here. That's for backups.
    • Crapload of wall warts and other power supplies.
    • 1TB hard disk, still in packaging. This will go into the dock for backups.
