Halis István City Library (Est. 1951). On its façade is a memorial plaque: "Arena, the first cultural institution in the area was a 450-seat summer theatre opened in 1912. This wooden building has a gallery. Arena, existing until 1920. It was renovated in 1912 and received a cord attic, orchestra pit, modern auditorium and lighting. Its role was taken over by the Medgyasszay House, built in 1926, which also house of the cinema. It has open air ciname too: since 1932 in the neighbouring garden of the Civil Society, since 1959 on the site of this library//This memorial plaque was erected in 2011 by the Library Support Foundation Nagykanizsa to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the foundation of the Halis István City Library." - 5 Kálvin Square, Nagykanizsa, Zala County, Hungary.

A karzatos, fa, 1920-ig létező Aréna, 1912-es felújításakor zsinorpadlást, zenekari árkot modern nézőteret és világítást iskapott. Szerepét a mozinak is helyt adó, 1926-ban épült Medgyasszay Ház vette át.
