Description
Svenska: Käringaröret sett från NNV i höstfärger.

Käringaröret ligger 60 m NÖ (30°) om Aspelund (”Thörns”) på det som förr kallades Sörby slätter, vilket var Sörby bys tåbebyggelse i Sörby socken, Vilske härad, Falköpings kommun, f.d. Skaraborgs län, Västergötland, Västra Götalands län, Sverige. Gränsen mellan Sörby 6:2 och Sörby 6:6 går över Käringaröret. Käringaröret ligger cirka 120 m S om stensättningen RAÄ-nr Sörby 55:1 och 440 m NV (320°) om Sörby kyrka.

Käringaröret är en oregistrerad stensättning, ca 20 m i diameter och ca 1,5 m hög av i ytan synliga stenar (0,2-0,4 m stora) och med en mittstensättning ca 8 m i diameter och 0,2 m hög. Stensättningen ligger i ett markant krönläge. En stenmur korsar den nordvästra delen. Käringaröret är tekniskt sett inte ett gravröse, som man kan tro av höjden, utan snarare en stensättning höljd över en mindre höjd, likt ett stekt ägg liggande på en uppochnervänd skål med vitan hängande ner på sidorna.

I ortnamnsregistret beskrivs Käringaröret på följande sätt:
”Käringaröret, backe å Sörby 6 Bosgården, Sörby sn, Vilske hd, Skaraborgs l.
|'ɕæ:rɪŋaˌʀø:ʈ|
Beläget å utmarken omedelbart bakom huset Slätterna. Där samlades fordom kvinnorna från de många torpen på Slätterna om söndags em.

Käringaröret kallas även Käringaberget, enligt lokalhistorikern Sture Creutz (muntlig uppgift 2005-09-17).
