Description
English:
St. Anne's Cathedral crypt. Baroque built in between 1719 and 1746. Planned by G.B. Carlone. During World War II, provost-parish priest László Bánáss established a shelter in the crypt, the built-in tombs were excavated, the remains were exhumed, and the corpses were buried in a common grave in the land of the sub-church without a coffin. Behind the altar of the crypt/sub-church is a fresco of 'Resurrection of Jesus' by László Patay, The tomb of Count of Körösszegh and Adorján Imre Csáky Archbishop Cardinal of Kalocsa, bishop of Oradea made by local woodcarver Sándor Boross in 1882 (marble pedestal, limestone-copper? plaque, bronz coffin all of this behind wrought iron railing) - 15 Szent Anna Street, Inner City, Debrecen, Hajdú-Bihar County, Hungary.

A tábla felirata: "Itt nyugszik körösszeghi és adorjáni gróf Csáky Imre, Kalocsa bíboros érseke, Nagyvárad helyettes püspöke, a debreczeni r. kath. templom építője, a kegyes-tanítórend pártfogója, valóságos belső titkos tanácsos, stb. Meghalt 1732-ben.
