Description
English:
Our Lady of Help church. Parish church. Since 2023 Minor basilica. It was built between 1737 and 1768. The main altar was completed in 1745. In 1765, statues of St. Francis of Assisi and St. Anthony of Padua were placed on the high altar. A crypt was built together with the church (here are the descendants of the Hochburg family). On the western façade of the church in a semicircular niche stand the sandstone statues of St. Anthony of Padua with the Child Jesus and St. Fidel of Sigmaringen. - Inside oval portrait wall paintings: Stephen I of Hungary, Giselle of Bavaria, Clare of Assisi, Leopold III, Margrave of Austria Inside guilded altar statues: Lawrence of Brindisi, Francis of Assisi, Anthony of Padua with the Child Jesus, Saint Leopold?/Leopold III, Margrave of Austria? - The shrine painting of Our Lady of Help is a 1690s works. - In 1942, construction,-planned by Vilmos Urbányi,-began on a pilgrimage yard with a capacity of 15,000 people. - part of National Blue Trail, Petőfi Sándor Street (Route 8204), Bodajk, Fejér County, Hungary.
