English:
Saint Stephen of Hungary church, main facade side entry lunette. Other name Miner church, main facade detail. The first R.C. church in Tatabánya-Óváros (former Tatabánya village, former Alsógalla miner colony) built in 1898. This was a remodelled workers house/workers hostel. In 1903 miner parish established. The Saint Stephen of Hungary church,-three naves, Gothic Revival style,-built in between 1911 and 1912, planned by architect Jenő Székely/or by other source József Ullein - Május 1. park, Óváros neighborhood, Tatabánya, Komárom-Esztergom County, Hungary.
Magyar:
Szent István Plébániatemplom Bányásztemplom, főhomlokzat, mellékbejárat, felülvilágítőja Jézus Szve ólomüveg. A Május 1. park ban található tájékoztatató alapján: a bányatelep első római katolikus templomát 1898-ban szentelték fel egy átalakított barakképület volt a telep szélén. 1903-ban bánylelkészség létesült. 1911-ben,-háromhajós, neógótikus, Székely Jenő tervezte/megj. a templom weboldala szerint Ullein József soproni építész tervezt/,- plébániatemplomot kezdett építeni a bányavállalat. A barakk-temploma református egyházé lett. 1912-ben az elkészült templomot Szent István tiszteletére szentelték fel. 1950-ig, Szent István napkor bányászbúcsút tartottak Helyi védelem azonosító: -10328 - Komárom-Esztergom megye, Tatabánya, Óváros, Május 1. park (Korábban Kultúrpark).
