Lajos Kossuth de Udvard et Kossuthfalva memorial statue by József Róna (1902) Kossuth is depicted in a rhetorical position. He holds a feathered hat in his left hand and points to the people of Szeged with his right hand. On the pedestal, three figures represent the people. One of the old peasants preparing for battle has a straightened scythe in his hand. Next to him stands a little boy with his hat off, who looks up reverently at Kossuth. Opposite Hungarian gentlewoman? He who brought his flowers to the great hero of liberty and puts a bush at his feet. On the other side of the pedestal there is the figure of a girl weaving a wreath of roses, and on the ribbon of the wreath it reads: To Lajos Kossuth. The pedestal of the statue is white Pátyi stone, the figures are made of bronze. Udvardi és kossuthfalvi Kossuth Lajos-emlékszobor (Felállítás 1902., Róna József alkotása, Kossuth Lajos születésének 100. évfordulójára) [1] Kossuthot szónokló helyzetben ábrázolja. Bal kezében tollas kalapot tart, jobb kezével pedig Szeged népére mutat. A talapzaton három alak jelképezi a népet. Az egyik harcba készülő öreg paraszt, kezében kiegyenesített kasza van. Mellette levett kalappal kis fiú áll, a ki áhítatosan néz föl Kossuthra. Szemben magyar úrinő? áll, a ki elhozta virágait a nagy szabadsághősnek és bokrétát tesz lábaihoz. A talapzat másik oldalán rózsákból koszorút fonó leány alakja látszik s a koszorú szalagján ez olvasható: Kossuth Lajosnak. A szobor talapzata fehér pátyi kő, az alakok bronzból valók.
