Description Ephraim Gottlieb Krüger (1756 Dresden bis 1834 Dresden): Der sterbende Perikles. Nach Johann Eleazar Schenau (1737 Großschönau bis 1806 Dresden). Kupferstich auf Büttenpapier, vor 1781. Die Darstellung zeigt den an der Seuche sterbenden Perikles. Sein Neffe Alkibiades schwört ihm die Erfüllung seiner letzten Wünsche. Vorn ist seine Gattin Aspasia zu sehen, links eine Statuette der Athene. Unter der Darstellung siginiert, links: “Schenau del.”, rechts: “E.G. Krüger sc. Dresden.”. Größe 19 x 12,3 cm, Darstellung: 12,7 x 8 cm.
