English:
World War I Memorial /other name: Heroic monument/ by József Hybl (1928) A bronze life-size statue on about 2-2.5 meters high artificial stone pedestal. The main figure is an armoured shirt, crown, necklace wearing figure Patrona Hungariae who holding a sword high by its blade, on one side is a wounded dying kneeling/stooping soldier. The soldier hold/lean on/ a firearm on the other hand is on a CoA decorated shield. On the other side of the main figure a kneeling women hold a child. On the pedestal are written around 700 (695 other source 717) names in alphabetical order. The monument also includes two flowerpots,-shaped as the drinking vessel with bull's head, probably an enlargement of an archeological item of Treasure of Nagyszentmiklós-placed on a pedestal. - Templom Square, Kispest neighborhood, 19th district of Budapest.
