The crucifix: the height of the cross is 250 cm, the cross stem is 90 cm, the size of the beam is 20x20 cm. The height of the corpus is 90 cm. On the obverse of the column base there is a grooved framed cassette with the year 1855 and an illegible inscription. On the ledge of the pedestal is a sandstone statue of Mary. Its height is 55 cm. Above the head of Christ is an inscription INRI. The cross named after former name of the street. - Kúria Street was established in the first half of the nineteenth century, it was inhabited by the mercenaries of Count Ernő Festetich's mansion estate in Tolna. Until the 1960s, the farewells to Emaus were held in the square around the crucifix. This is where the vendors pitched their tents. According to the custom of the Emaus district, already from the end of the eighteenth century, from the parish church of Tolna on Easter Monday they marched in procession to the outskirts of the city, to the neighboring village, Mözs, to say goodbye and celebrate. The older women prayed a litany in the church of Mözs, while the young ones spent their time in the farewell. Az 1960-as évekig a feszület körüli téren tartották az Emausi búcsúkat. Itt verték fel sátraikat az árusok. Az Emaus járás szokása szerint, már a XVIII. század végétől, a tolnai plébániatemplomból Húsvét hétfőn körmenettel vonultak a város szélére, a szomszéd faluba, Mözsre búcsújárni és ünnepelni. Az idősebb asszonyok a mözsi templomban litánián imádkoztak, míg a fiatalok a búcsúban múlatták idejüket. A tolnai plébániatemplom barokk szószékének kosarán látható dombormű ábrázolása: a feltámadt Krisztus az Emausi úton találkozik tanítványaival.
