Peinture murale de la Galerie des Fêtes de l'Hôtel de Ville de Paris. Pendentif. L'homme combat les animaux féroces. Menacé par un tigre, attaqué par un lion, il enfonce dans la gueule de ce dernier un arbre déraciné. A ses pieds gît un corps expirant sous l'étreinte d'un reptile. Une femme effrayée serre son enfant contre son sein.
