Description
Deutsch: Südsüdwestansicht der Burgruine Landsee in Landsee, ein Ortsteil der burgenländischen Marktgemeinde Markt Sankt Martin.
Die Entstehung der Burg ist unbekannt, jedoch wurde sie 1158 im Traditionsbuch des Stiftes Göttweig erstmals erwähnt. Im Jahre 1612 gelangte die Burg Landsee durch Heirat in den Besitz der Familie Esterhazy, die Mitte des 17. Jahrhunderts die Burg ausbauten: [1]. Nach einem Großbrand im Jahr 1790 wird sie nicht mehr aufgebaut und verödete: [2], [3].
