Description
Deutsch: Langenfeld (Rheinland), Solinger Str. 19, an der Außenmauer des nördlichen Seitenschiffs von St. Josef mit einem interessanten muschelförmigen Fenster (Siebenpass) findet sich ein Kriegerdenkmal.

Es hat die Form eines Sarkophags und trägt folgende Inschrift:

DEN BRÜDERN, GEFALLEN IM KAMPF
UM DEUTSCHLANDS EHRE UND SEIN.
                 1914 –– 1918

Angelehnt an die Basis wurde später eine Steintafel mit der Inschrift
DEN OPFERN DER KRIEGE / UND DER GEWALT / 1939 –– 1945 ergänzt.


Die Schauseite zeigt unter der Widmung ein reliefiertes Stilleben aus Stahlhelm, Schwert und Lorbeerzweig, überhöht von einem gleichschenkligen Kreuz, wie es sich oft auf soldatischen Gräbern zeigt. Von rechts legt ebenfalls im Halbrelief auf das linke Knie niedergesunken eine gramgebeugte Frauengestalt, die Haare verschleiert, während sie sich mit der Linken an Herz fasst, mit der Rechten einen Strauß Rosen am Grab ab.
