Teachers and assistants of ''Schule am Meer'' Juist, Germany

Summary edit

Description
English: Founder members and teachers of the progressive German boarding-school Schule am Meer with supporting staff (cook, housemaid) on the East-Frisian island Juist in the North Sea. The picture was most likely made before their secession from Freie Schulgemeinde of Wickersdorf near Saalfeld in Thuringia Forest. It shows from the left: the Austrian painter Fritz Hafner, the chemist Dr. Paul Reiner from Nuremberg, his wife Ann Sara Reiner, née Hochschild, originating from Frankfurt am Main, the Swiss teacher Rudolf Aeschlimann and his wife Helene as well as the principal Martin Luserke, originating from Germany's capital Berlin, on the right (wearing his typical hat) with his wife Annemarie.
